Penny Kotterman - Arizona Candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction 2010

State Superintendent of Public Instruction

As a parent, a teacher, and a teacher mentor, I have spent more than thirty years devoted to fulfilling the promise of a quality public education for every child. The success of our students today will determine our quality of life tomorrow. Arizona must do better– from critical early learning for our youngest children, to the higher education necessary to prepare the next generation of our state’s leaders. That's why I am running for Superintendent of Public Instruction. We must commit ourselves to making sure that every child has a quality teacher and the opportunity to learn in a safe and secure learning environment. In order to guarantee our students’ future we must create new opportunities and embrace innovation. We must graduate more of our students from better schools. Our public schools should be a source of pride in our communities, and I want to work with you to guarantee our success.
